Joseph Tilling

Original from Liverpool, Joseph’s love for choral music began at the age of 8, singing in his local Church Choir. After studying music A level at the Liverpool Bluecoat School under the Director of Music Simon Emery, he was awarded a choral scholarship at Liverpool Anglican Cathedral, where he spent his gap year.

He recently graduated from Leeds conservatoire, where he focused much of his attention on conducting, under the supervision of Jon Malaxetxbarria. Along side his studies, Joseph directed the University of Leeds Chamber choir, and was a choral Scholar at Leeds Minster under Alex Woodrow.

Joseph now enjoys a busy schedule as a Choral director at the diocese of Leeds, delivering full class singing sessions to primary school children and working with the huge variety of Diocesan choirs, ranging from Junior Choirs to the Cathedral Scholars Choir, consisting of University students.
